Meet Amanda (Kerpius) Mendoza, the founder of Empowered Self. 

After 25+ years of dance training, Amanda continued to find limitations in the skill and physical appearance necessary to succeed in dance auditions.  Rather than give up on movement, she discovered the life-changing world of yoga and competitive distance running.  This transition transformed her life-long relationship with movement and brought a renewed sense of purpose to her life.

Having a strong relationship with your body and trusting it to move well is a cornerstone of wellness.  Amanda’s signature method – Performance + Recovery – is a unique blend of massage therapy, yoga therapy and functional movement training designed to empower you from within.
